Biography of Nicole Fedio, IT Director

After living in five different countries and four different states, Nicole Fedio purchased her first home in Ithaca in 2008. Originally from Pennsylvania, she is a graduate of Penn State and Harvard University and is excited to once again be living in the northeast. A high school math teacher by trade, she started working for Carol Bushberg Real Estate when a mutual friend introduced them shortly after Nicole arrived in Ithaca.

Her roles at Carol Bushberg Real Estate are varied and include using her Internet and computer skills to keep fellow Realtors and the public aware of new listings, price changes, and the company’s marketing efforts. She also analyzes local and national market data and their impact on the Ithaca real estate market.

Nicole feels fortunate to be working at Carol Bushberg Real Estate because she is able to contribute her computer and office skills to a company that truly values its clients (and her!).

When she is not at the office, she is busy chasing her daughters, Ava and Anna; fixing up her house with her husband, Andrew; and if there is any time left in the day she loves reading, hiking, swimming, and running.

Biography of Mary Heffner, Advertising Director

Mary HeffnerMary Heffner joined the team at Carol Bushberg Real Estate in July, 2009 while on vacation from her regular job with the Ithaca City School District.  When she is not writing ad copy for CBRE, Mary is the library clerk at the Lehman Alternative Community School, a democratically run middle and high school serving 275 students from grade 6 to 12.  Prior to that, Mary worked in the library at Fall Creek Elementary School.

Along with her husband Bill, a former Guidance Counselor now pursuing a career in college admissions, Mary has lived in Ithaca for 25 years, and raised her 2 children here.  Eva is a senior at St. Lawrence University, and Benjamin is a sophomore at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY.  They also have a very fine dog called Pearl, and two cats to round out the family.

An aspiring locavore, Mary is on a quest to live and eat more sustainably, as long as her diet still includes a modicum of chocolate.  She loves reading and would enjoy discussing good books with you when you stop in.
